Hi, I'm Jody!
Over the past 7+ years I've lead user research at various organizations and demonstratively made their products and services more useful and more usable.
Currently I lead research as a Senior UX Researcher at ADP. My research insights shape the future of Workforce Now, ADP's payroll solution used by over 9 million US workers. Besides strategic planning and tactical activities, I am actively developing the research practice by improving processes and maturing my team's skillset.
My background is both scientific and creative, having obtained degrees in Geography and Industrial Design. I got the bug for user research as an Industrial Designer while letting people test my prototypes of foldable canoes and portable speakers. As a UX Designer, I shifted my focus to design and research on digital products - first at agencies, later in-house. Even now that I've specialized in UX Research, my favorite parts of the craft are still the same: the revelations from testing a design 'in the wild', and sharing those ‘aha’ moments back to the teams I collaborate with.
In my free time I like to write, dabble in acrobatics, and transform my yard into a pollinator paradise.
